Used for centuries in Siberian folk medicine, chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a parasitic fungus that primarily grows on birch trees in cold climates. Tundra chaga specifically refers to this same species when it is harvested from the harsh, cold environments of the tundra, where the extreme conditions are thought to produce a more potent sclerotia.
