Over 90% of the dry weight of bamboo consists of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. However, the specific ingredients in bamboo fiber depend heavily on the manufacturing process, which can be either mechanical or chemical, significantly altering its composition from the raw plant material to the final textile.
