Before its discontinuation in May 2024, a large size (30 oz) of Panera's Charged Lemonade contained up to 390 milligrams of caffeine, an amount nearly equivalent to the FDA's recommended daily limit for healthy adults. This high concentration, combined with its placement next to regular teas, was at the center of multiple wrongful death and injury lawsuits.
