According to data from recent studies, residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia consume more ultra-processed foods (UPFs) than almost anywhere else in the world, with these items making up over half of their daily caloric intake. The average American, for instance, gets about 60% of their calories from ultra-processed foods.
