As of December 2022, the Scottish soft drinks manufacturer AG Barr acquired the UK-based Boost Energy brand. This strategic acquisition brought the popular, value-driven energy drink, founded by entrepreneur Simon Gray in 2001, under the ownership of the same company responsible for iconic brands like Irn-Bru and Rubicon.

In November 2020, the meal-kit giant HelloFresh completed its acquisition of ready-to-eat meal company Factor75, Inc., which is now known simply as Factor. This means when people ask, 'what company does Factor own?', the answer is none, as Factor is the subsidiary, not the parent company. This strategic move expanded HelloFresh's portfolio and market share in the booming prepared meal sector.

As of 2021, the US private equity firm Gryphon Investors became the parent company of Metagenics. This acquisition marked a significant shift in the ownership of the nutritional supplement brand, moving it away from its previous parent, Alticor, which also owns Amway.
