Launched in 2018, Poshan Abhiyaan, or the National Nutrition Mission, is India's flagship program tackling malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The composition of Poshan is a multi-pronged strategy focused on technology, convergence, and community empowerment to ensure holistic nourishment.

In 2011, the USDA launched MyPlate, replacing the Food Pyramid with a simpler, more intuitive graphic. This tool was created to help consumers easily understand and apply the latest dietary guidelines to their daily eating habits by focusing on balance and proportion.

Launched on March 1, 2021, by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Poshan Tracker app was designed to leverage technology for dynamic identification of under-nutrition among children and other beneficiaries across India. This critical tool provides a 360-degree view of Anganwadi services, enhancing delivery and monitoring efficiency.

According to a World Bank policy brief, a significant reduction in child stunting was observed in 11 focus states between 2015-16 and 2019-21, a testament to initiatives like the comprehensive nutrition campaign in India, primarily known as POSHAN Abhiyaan. This flagship mission addresses the complex issue of malnutrition through a multi-faceted approach.

Childhood obesity rates had more than tripled since the 1970s before former First Lady Michelle Obama launched a comprehensive public health campaign. The landmark program she started is the 'Let's Move!' initiative, designed to help solve the problem of childhood obesity within a generation.

Launched in 2011, MyPlate replaced the former Food Pyramid to offer a simpler visual guide for Americans. The USDA developed the MyPlate icon and website to help promote consumer awareness and understanding of the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
